We made it over to the marina today to begin removing some of the teak trim on the fly bridge as well as the upper bridge handrails, to take them home and refinish. We have decided to paint directly over the existing paint on the fly bridge for now, as well as the deck after we seal a few problem areas. This will allow us to focus on other areas for the immediate future, and still have a painted surface that is aesthetically pleasing while also giving our bare feet a break from the already sanded fiberglass.

The upper deck portion of the fly bridge is ready to seal, and paint and a new 4-piece conversation set (pictured below) will be arriving in a few days, just in time to get it on the deck for Sarah and family arrival for thanksgiving.
